Get Your Business Local with Google Maps

Thanks to all who attended this event, we hope that it gave new inspiration using Google Maps - and a special thanks to the Google Maps team for hosting this event with us.

Folia held together with Google a popular Google Maps Seminar in Copenhagen. The seminar focused on how companies can benefit form using Google Map in their strategic marketing, best practices, Free vs. Premier licenses and not least, news from Google I/O 2011.

 
DGI-Byen was the setting on June 15th 2011 for a Google Maps seminar organized by the Google Maps Partner Folia in cooperation with Google. 35 participants from retail chains, tourism industry and web agencies spent an afternoon here together with Google and Folia. The participants recived concentrated information on news from Google and  Folia told about their long experience of map solutions for the Internet.

Presentations were followed by many questions, and during intermission there was alot of eagerly talk among the guests and Google, who had come with 4 experts from their Geo Team. "It's the first time Google participates in arrangements of this sort and we are therefore happy for the great support that has been. The seminar was prepared with a few weeks notice and we got along the way made many statements from people who wanted to attend but was prevented "says Michael Gram, director of Folia.

The seminar also included presentations from two of Folias customers. Post Danmark's webmaster Michael Mortensen told about the strategic and aesthetic considerations as well as visions and Jobviews Director Ali E. Cevik presented a new job portal, with the location as a starting point for the search - Both for the web and mobile.
